CONTINUING EDUCATION

AST students can register for in-person or online courses for continuing education. Each semester, students enroll in individual courses to deepen theological understanding, refine ministerial skills, learn more about a topic of interest, or as a tool to discern full enrollment into a degree or certificate program.

Cost

Continuing education courses are charged at the audit- non degree rate.

Apply to a Degree Program

Coursework completed under the ‘continuing education’ or 'audit' status can be applied to a certificate or degree program. Please contact the registrar or academic Dean for more details.

Learning options

At AST we offer several different learning options to meet the needs of all students.

In-Person and Hybrid Learning: Students may join in person or by zooming into the class.

Site: Nickelsville, Vrginia

Class Days: Currently these classes are offered on Monday's and Thursday's.

In-Person Only

Site: Kingsport, TN @ Lynn Garden Baptist Church

Class Days: Currently these classes are offered on Tuesday's.

TUITION & FEEs

Audit Rate: $300 per course

Associate Degree: $125 per credit hour

Bachelor’s Degree: $125 per credit hour

Master’s Degree: $ 250 per credit hour

Doctorate Tuition:$300 per credit hour (courses only)

Each Doctoral Project will be worth 9 credit hours and (4) projects will be required to complete the Doctoral program totaling (36) credit hours regardless of which Doctoral Track (1 or 2) that a student is completing. Tuition will be $1,000 per (9 credit hour) project or $4,000 for the four (4) projects needed to complete this program.
